Obituary of Leonard A. Gee
Leonard A. Gee, age 82, a lifelong resident of Covington, PA, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 26, 2010 at Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA. He was born February 23, 1928 in Covington, the son of Archie and Marie (Watkins) Gee.
Lenny was a retiree of PennDot and a Veteran of the US Army. He was predeceased by his wife, Barbara (Frost) of nearly 52 years, and friend, Janice Wilson. Surviving are his two sons, Steve (Shalane) Gee of Mansfield, Gary (Darlene) Gee of Ridgebury, PA; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Lois Branan of Penn Yan, NY.
Lenny was a member for 48 years of Friendship Lodge #247 Free and Accepted Masons of Mansfield; Coudersport Consistory; Hillside Rod and Gun Club, Blossburg; Arnot Sportsmans Club; NRA; and a member of Covington Church of Christ; an inductee of the PA Voter Hall of Fame, Harrisburg, PA. Lenny enjoyed hunting, antique cars, music and dancing.
Friends and family are invited to call on Friday, July 30, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, PC, 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at the Covington Church of Christ at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Gray Cemetery, Covington, PA.
