You know, I never really met my real grandfather. That may seem sad, which it is. Even so, I wouldnt have wanted it any other way. In fact, I considered Jerry my actual grandfather. He was the sweetest man you would ever meet, yet he could cause quite a ruckus if he wanted to. He was a simple man who loved sitting around campfires, watching NASCAR races, and spending time with his family. I always loved seeing that smile on his face when we would walk through the door to come visit them, and how he jokingly said that there was nobody home. I loved how he teased me about girls. I loved how enthusiastic he was about camping with his family. I loved his laugh. But most of all, I loved how kind he was. I just wish he could have been here to see me graduate, he would have been so proud of me. Thanksgiving dinner sure wont be the same without him at the head of the table. So, Jerry, well miss you. Well always be thinking about you. And as you always used to say before you hung up the phone, well see ya
