Obituary of John M. Tobey

John M. Tobey, age 70, of Wellsboro, PA, died Saturday, December 5, 2009 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. John was born on May 31, 1939 in Elmira, NY, a son of Francis and Anna (Kohan) Tobey. He was the husband of Carol (Franks) Tobey. John was a retired teacher from the Elmira City Schools. He was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church, Wellsboro, PA. John is survived by his wife, Carol; a son and daughter-in-law, John Eric and Kathleen Tobey of Wellsboro, PA; a daughter and son-in-law, Tracy Ann and James Schiefen of Elmira, NY; four grandchildren, Jamie, Erica, Patrick and Jonathan; a sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Frank Minotti of Casper, WY. Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, December 9, 2009 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, PC, 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. A memorial service will be held immediately following the visitation at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Father John Chmil officiating.
