I am a former student of Mr Tobey. He was, by far, a singular influence in my growth to a man. I have told countless stories to others of my time with Mr. Tobey. As he had said often in class "the talking lamp is off" Rest well Mr. Tobey, count me as one of thousands that you have touched.

I have many wonderful memories of John...from his sense of humor to his great pig roast! Unfortunately, I am out of town and unable to be there in person. Please accept my sympathy. You all are in my thoughts and prayers. God bless you John. You will be missed.

Dear Mrs Tobey and Family, I am sorry to hear of your loss. My mother, Mary Navone, just notified me of his passing. We had talked about him at our family's Thanksging Dinner just a week ago. "Mr. Tobey" I am confident, influenced many students during his teaching tenure. He inspired me to always work hard and to do my best. His enthusiastic teaching style created a memorable learning experience for me. Today, I am a practicing Cardiologist in Syracuse, NY. I am sure that "Mr. Tobey" will be missed by many. May all the wonderful memories of him help soothe your heart during this difficult time. With Thoughts and Prayers, Anthony Navone

Dear Sue, I saw your brother's last name and immediately thought of you, even after 40+ years. I am sorry for your loss. I hope you and Frank are well, and was surprised to see that you live in Wyoming (the country's least populated state). Again, my condolences on the loss of your brother. I have many memories of you and Frank at the old Palms. Steve & Linda Fesh
