Obituary of Shirley Elaine Smith

Shirley Elaine Smith, age 88, of Williamsport, PA, formerly of Blossburg, PA, passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Manor Care Williamsport North, in Williamsport, PA. She was born on November 25, 1935, in Delphi, PA, the daughter of Russell and Verna (Hilbert) Stoudt. Shirley was the wife of the late Ken R. Smith who died on March 26, 1986. She had been employed by Ward Manufacturing, was a member of Cherry Flats Baptist Church since 1995, and a member of the VFW Women's Auxiliary. Shirley loved cats, going for rides, visiting with people, and bird watching. Shirley is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Sandra Smith of Covington, PA; a daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Don Simcoe of Williamsport, PA; a special nephew who was like her brother, Bobby Stoudt of Blossburg, PA; grandchildren, Patrick Smith, and Kaitlyn Smith; a great grandson, Carson Fessler; a sister-in-law, Connie Stroble of AZ. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Fessler and a son, Kenneth Smith Jr. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, August 29, 2024, from 3:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M., at the First Baptist Church of Blossburg, 301 Main St. Blossburg, PA. A funeral service will follow the viewing at 4:00 P.M., with the Rev. Harry Colegrove officiating. Burial will be in Tioga County Memorial Gardens, Mansfield, PA.
