Back in the mid 70s Dave and I were roommates while working in the Marshall Islands. Room mates were mandatory and I always felt I had hit the jackpot with Dave; quiet, respectful, and Clean. We worked different shifts so all that was hyper important to maintain a sleep schedule. Part of his daily routine was to Meditate after work and I know I likely interrupted him a time or two but he never complained.
We were dive buddies and together we maintained a good size saltwater Aquarium in our room. One time I was out with some other divers and one gave me a baby Lionfish I took it to our room and added it to our aquarium, feeling really proud of myself. A day or two later we noticed the new addition had ate or killed nearly every fish we had. Dave wasn't happy but all he said was,"I guess we better go diving".
I few years back I had the pleasure of visiting Dave and Darlean at their mountain retreat, it was the best of times.
Rest in Peace old friend,
Roger Priest

Dave was a great and dear friend to my wife Pon and me. He was my golfing partner for over 10 years at River Valley Gold Club. He was an exceptional golfer and friend. We enjoyed countless times with Dave and Darlean. God Bless you and Darlean and her family. Love forever Woody and Pon McKenzie
