Obituary of Amy Sue Hairston

Amy Sue Hairston, age 42, of Mansfield, PA, passed away on Friday, January 26, 2024. She was born on August 14, 1981, in Elmira, NY, a daughter of Ralph and Theresa (Balatgek) Mattison. Amy was the wife of Jamie Hairston. She enjoyed camping, puzzle books, and spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews. Amy is survived by her husband, Jamie; her parents, Ralph and Theresa; brothers Kori (Angela) Cole of Sabinsville, PA, Adam (Adrianne) Mattison of Horseheads, NY, Anthony (Angel) Mattison of Wysox, PA, and Aaron (Amanda) Mattison of Blossburg, PA; aunt, Donna (Tom White) Moon of Lawrenceville, PA; and several additional aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Clinton and Elizabeth Austin, and her paternal grandparents, Howard and Joan Mattison. Friends and family are invited to call on Saturday, February 3, 2024, from 1:00-2:00 P.M. at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. A memorial service will immediately follow at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Harry Colegrove officiating.
