Obituary of Phillip Joel Benner

Phillip Joel Benner, age 43, of Liberty, PA, passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2024 at his home. He was born on May 11, 1980 in Harrisonburg, VA, a son of Paul and Faith (Beidler) Benner. Phillip was married to Michelle C. (Rineer) Benner. He was a senior drone consultant in environmental services and on the leadership team for Mountaintop Grace Community Church in Liberty, PA. Phillip enjoyed hunting, hiking, riding motorcycles, photography, camping, being outdoors, and preaching in church. Phillip is survived by his wife; parents; a son, Nathaniel Benner; two daughters, Arianna Benner, and Alethea Benner; two brothers, Jon Merlin (Melissa) Benner of Haines, AK, Brian (Kelli) Benner of Liberty, PA; and two sisters, Juanita (John) Brodnicki of Morris, PA, and Julia (David) Heck of Morris, PA. Phil will always be remembered for his adventurous spirit, easy laugh, his warm disarming presence, his thoughtful wisdom, his generous and easy welcome and encouragement, and his deep, deep love for Jesus his Savior, his family, his friends, and virtually anyone he came contact with. A memorial service will be held at Mountaintop Grace Community Church 6531 State Route 414 Liberty, PA on Saturday, January 20th with visitation beginning at 9:30 am and the service beginning at 11:00 am.
