Deepest sympathy to Lamar, Kim and the Taylor and Drumheller families. I have so many memories of Leah and her family. As a child my family would visit and play with Jeanette and Lamar. Leah always had cookies and milk. She had a wonderful contagious laugh. We would go over and get water cress every spring. After I got married an moved away I would go back and vacation with our cousin Margaret. Margaret, Nettie, Leah, and I would always take a day in July to go to lunch and shop. It was about being together and having a wonderful girls day and creating special memories. Leah once said, "There aren't enough Julys" meaning we neeed more wonderful days together. I love Leah very much and will always hold her in my heart.

My condolences to the Taylor family for your loss. I grew up attending church at St. Peters Blue Church and have great memories of my interactions with both Leah and Blanche, but the one memory that sticks out in my mind more than any other is how she would always make a big deal out of my birthday, and she knew I liked steak for my birthday dinner. She would ask, if I got my steak, so one year, I kept the plastic flag that the restaurant would stick in the steak to indicate it's level of done. It said "M. Well" on it for Medium Well. I brought it to church with me that following Sunday, so I could show her proof of the steak that I ate. And for whatever reason that "stuck" from that year, to every year, that she'd ask me how my steak was, and I'd show her the little flag. I am sorry I won't be able to get up to PA for the funeral.
