Obituary of Robert L. Rubin
Robert L. Rubin, age 71, passed away on Friday, September 29, 2023. Born August 8, 1952, Bob along with wife Debbie, started Whitneyville Glass Co in 1980.
He was an avid musician, playing mandolin with his long time friend, Steve Ziemak along with many other regional and local musicians.
He went to Ukraine in 1989 with The Corning Grassworks band as a Sister Cities exchange. Music, along with nature, science and meteorology were a big part of his life.
Bob loved his family and his Fur Babies and the life he built here.
He is survived by his wife Debra Chavis Rubin, "Debbie", of over 52 years, sister-in-law, Sheila Stiebel Rubin of Jackson, Ms., niece, Becci Rubin Craig & John Craig and family of Brooksville, Ms, nephew, Stuart Rubin and Andrea Kushnick Rubin and family of Cleveland, Oh. He was preceded in death by brother Ira Rubin and parents Sidney Rubin and Naomi Beitchman Rubin.
