I am so sorry to hear of Claire's passing. Claire and John played a large part in making me who I am today. I lived with them for a while when I went to Mansfield State. So many great times , not near enough time or space to list them all.
The most memorable was when Claire taught me how to whistle using my fingers. I practiced for one day, before a Mansfield basketball game with Cheney State and had a great time using my new skill at the game that evening.
I still use that whistle at grand kids sporting events or to call them to the house for dinner and every time I do I think of Claire and the great times with he Heaps family. God bless you Claire, may you and John enjoy your times tougher again.

Thoughts are with Clair’s family and hope the good memories ease the loss. I always enjoyed the times we shared when she came to Decker to use the pool. We had good conversations on a couple of trips for baseball games when John was coaching.

My heart is broken for you and your family. Claire was a lovely lady with a kind soul who touched many hearts, and those of us who were lucky enough to have known her feel blessed. She will never be forgotten by any of us who knew her. May treasured memories bring some comfort. Sending heartfelt condolences, hugs, and prayers to you and your family.
