One of my fondest memories of Professor Putt, was his insistence on learning correct cursive writing. I spent hours and hours working on my writing, A simple task but so important in teaching third grade. His professionalism was tops, and his students looked up to him and respected him because he respected us. He was one of my most admired professors while at Mansfield during my time there.

We are very sorry to learn of the passing of Uncle Bob. We would like to send our condolenses to you, Amy and Debbie. Although we haven't seen each other in a long time we still remember all the time we did share together and all the laughs Bob would give us. Know that all of you are in our thoughts and prayers in this very difficult time.

Dr. Putt will be forever missed! What an awesome man and teacher. He and his wife, my 5th grade teacher, have both made a tremendous impact on my life. Bob was a great guy! I always enjoyed his visits to the MU Registrar’s Office while I was working in that location. Heartfelt thoughts and prayers for peace and comfort go out to Bob’s family. RIP good friend!
