I worked at the foundry every summer during my Penn State years, and I fondly remember lunchtime with Larry and his full-time colleagues. His wit and patience were ever-present and, while I might have expected him to merely tolerate this clueless teenager, he never saw me as anything less than a co-worker. (The things I learned from that crew were a welcome addition to my more-traditional education, and I am very grateful that our paths crossed those 45 years ago!) Sending condolences to Larry's family, with hopes that warm and healing thoughts will help carry them through the sad times ahead.
