Karl was the closest friend that I ever had.We lost touch many, many moons ago and I wondered where he had wandered to. We attended Susuquehanna and bonded immediately. I just found out about his passing and tears are streaming down my face but a smile is rekindled. I would have loved to have had one more spiritual conversation, one more bit of inspired insanity, and one more 'night call from a distant time zone' as we spent much time in college in his little renault driving in the midnite hours going madly down Pennsylvania's blue highways. I cannot 'bid time return' but I'll carry the times deep in my heart. And while, I don't know you Robin; I hope that Karl found solace, peace and contentment in your presence. He was the finest human being I knew. The Karl that I knew may have physically passed, but his indomitable spirit will always be felt. I am so sorry that I didn't get a chance to say both "hello" and "goodbye".
