Obituary of Harry Lord
Harry MacLaury Lord passed away March 11 2022.
Harry graduated with a BS in Forestry from Paul Smith College and enjoyed time spent outdoors. He worked at national parks across the country, including Vermont, Texas, and Pennsylvania. He ended his park career as a volunteer manning the telescope at the Little Grand Canyon where visitors could view the eagles & eaglets. Prior to his park ranger work Harry served his country in Vietnam.
Harry loved animals and spent many hours each week walking dogs at local shelters. His most recent canine friend, Daisy, has found a loving home with a friend from Second Chance Shelter in Tioga, PA.
He is survived by his two sisters Ellen "Pookie" Mead and Ginevra "Nennie" Haven as well as many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Deane Center-Performing Arts in Wellsboro, PA at 2pm Tuesday, March 15. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Second Chance Shelter (725 Gee Road, Tioga, PA) or your local animal shelter.
