Bruce was not only my EMS instructor, he taught by folks as well back in the late 70s. He was a great teacher and had great sense of humor as well.

Bruce was one of the most kindest, caring and intelligent men that I was blessed to know and call a dear friend. My husband and I were honored that he invited us to Pennsylvania a number of times to visit. He was an amazing host. We were able to spend time with him and his furbaby Lizzy (and a couple of cats at that time) in his quaint farmhouse and tour around. He will be truly missed by all that were blessed to know him.

Bruce Furman will be greatly missed by all of his students in the Fond du Lac, West Bend, and Beaver Dam areas. Bruce taught the EMT-Intermediate (I-85) class to West Bend Fire Department members (1994 and 1997), and then taught the EMT-Intermediate Enhanced (I-99) program in 1998. Because of Bruce's style of teaching, as well as his enthusiasm for learning, the West Bend Fire Department members had the highest scores in the State of Wisconsin for the I-99 pilot program. He will be remembered for his little sayings such as, "People who are dead, inherently have a nature to stay dead." He would then have that booming laugh. We were very lucky to have him as an instructor. The world is a lesser place without Bruce Furman in it.

Bruce was a great friend to both of my parents. After my father passed he looked after my mom and got her out of the house. I always enjoyed seeing him and talking with him. My condolences to his family

Bruce was a close friend of mine for many years. We went to school together and lived near each other. He was the Best Man at my wedding. Bruce was an avid motorcyclist. He once told me about getting caught in a freak snowstorm in Colorado and what he had to endure. Bruce lived an interesting life.
