Obituary of Harry W. Foster

Harry W. Foster, age 85, of Tioga, PA, passed away on Monday, July 5, 2021 at Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira, NY. He was born on November 17, 1935 in Tioga County, PA, a son of William and Beatrice (Burdick) Foster. Harry and his wife, Jean (Rose) Foster, celebrated 66 years of marriage on February 4, 2021. He was a machinist for Ingersoll Rand and was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Tioga. Harry was also a member of Tioga Masonic Lodge #373 and the 32nd Degree Mason member of the Coudersport Consistory. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, and watching NASCAR. Harry is survived by his wife; four children, Deb (Brad) Demusz of Wellsboro, PA, William (Tammy) Foster of Boerne, TX, Susan Foster of Millerton, PA, and Nancy (Mike Cadek) Foster Monks of Horseheads, NY; nine grandchildren, Chasity (Tim) Kaltenbach, Christy (Olie) Townsend, Tyler (Gretta) Foster, Matt (Kathryn) Gregory, Tim (Kym) Rice, Dustin (Ashley) Robbins, Jillisa (Jason) Lounsbury, Micayla Monks, and Roselyn Monks; eighteen great grandchildren; and a brother, Richard (Helen) Foster of Tioga, PA. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Mary Shenk. Friends and family are invited to call on Thursday, July 8, 2021 from 2-3pm at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 637 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA. A memorial service will follow immediately at 3pm with Pastor Harry Colegrove officiating. Burial will take place in Evergreen Cemetery in Tioga, PA.
