Obituary of Laurie Ann Packer

Laurie Ann Packer, age 48, of Mainesburg, PA, passed away on Friday, May 28, 2021 at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital in Wellsboro, PA. She was born on March 2, 1973 in Troy, PA, a daughter of James and Phyllis (Jackson) Forrest. Laurie was married to Richard B. Packer. She was an employee for PRSM Healthcare in Wellsboro, PA. Laurie was a member of Mainesburg United Methodist Church. She enjoyed her family, making fancy cakes, crocheting, angels, and taking care of the neighborhood cats. Laurie is survived by her husband; her mother; two daughters, Allison Packer of Mainesburg, PA, and Breanna Packer of Blossburg, PA; a son, Brian (Sherry) Packer of Mainesburg, PA; a brother, Dan "Jim" (Diane) Jackson of Barnegat, NJ; two sisters, Debbie Campbell of Mainesburg, PA, and Cindy (Scott) Larcombe of Blossburg, PA; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Marion Jackson. Friends and family are invited to call on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 from 12-2pm at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 637 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA. A funeral service will follow immediately at 2pm with Pastor Gere Reist officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the funeral home to assist with expenses. Burial will take place in Gray Valley Cemetery in Mainesburg, PA.
