I first met Christy in person last summer right after a huge bear rumbled through our neighborhood between my chain link fence and my neighbors house next door where she stayed with her boyfriend Jesse. She had just brought the dogs out and I called her over to introduce myself and tell my bear story. I had watched her and Jesse spending time together training the dogs together and having two of my own was impressed to see the time they spent with them. Christy mentioned she tended bar at The Burnin Barrel in Ansonia where I spent a lot of time in my younger day and even promised to buy my first beer if I ever stopped in. I'm not much for the bars these days, but I sure do regret I never made it down to take her up on her offer as she seemed to have the soul of someone who could make friends with whoever she met in life. I offer my personal condolences to her family, friends, and especially my neighbors who have weathered many a storm together in recent times. God bless!
