Dear Mr. Cole and family,
Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss. Reading her life story reminds me of a lovely verse in the Bible which describes a loving hard working wife. Proverbs 31:28 says "Her children rise up and declare her happy; Her husband rises up and praises her." I hope you can find a measure of comfort from the memories you shared and the beautiful hope we are given in God's word. Revelation 21:4

I went to school with Hazel many years ago in Millerton and she always had that special personality. Moved to Mansfield in 9th grade and years later Hazel and Bernie were also in Mansfield area. We never lost touch and often had a quick visit in Walmart. Will miss that smile and wit. Our sincere sympathy to Bernie and family. Verne and Jean

One of the best things that happened to me when I was the mail carrier in Mainesburg was meeting Hazel. Mention a name, she could tell you a story and it would be well spiced with her wicked funny sense of humor. Talking to her always made you feel better. Our condolences to each one of you.

Matt. Just wanted you to know you are in my prayers. Even though it was many years ago that I knew her she was always so proud of “her boys” and she welcomed chad into her home many times. I am sure another boy is what she needed. He always talks about how cool it would be to have brothers. How blessed you were to have a mother who cared so much. May God bring you peace in the coming days.

Dear Cole family,
I am so sorry to hear of Hazel's passing. I was hoping to get my mom (Shirley) and her together for a visit but mom's health hasn't been good. I have wonderful childhood memories with all of you and since I was the only girl, I got plenty of attention, especially from Hazel. My brothers, Rick & Mick and I loved coming to your home and riding the horse, playing in the barn on the hay bales, shooting the bb gun, and all others sorts of fun. I hope you find comfort in the memories you have with Hazel and they'll bring a smile to your face. They have mine.
Loving thoughts,
Kerry Olson Harter

What I remember about Hazel is that she always supported the musical endeavors of her son Patrick. Whether it was a live concert or the Coal Festival she was there, beaming with a smile that said "that's my boy." I was very thankful that her and Bernie could be at my parents 50th anniversary to be acknowledged for their 60th anniversary. Thank you Cole family for sharing your mom with all of us, she will truly be missed.

Hazel was like a mother to me being her 7th son I will miss her as will anyone whom knew her. My last time I saw her was at Wal-Mart this past fall. She always smiled and said I look a lot like Barry. Dunno bout that but her boys were always friends of mine and I've always looked up to her and Bernie.( Who's always scared me). But god has received and awesome person I will miss you and I know we will see you again someday. Love you.
