Obituary of Everett Merle Keenum
Everett Merle Keenum, age 72, of Wellsboro, PA. passed away at his home Thursday, August 3, 2017. Everett was the beloved husband of Kay Ilse Keenum. Before his retirement, Everett was employed as the District Manager of TETRA Technologies. Inc. in Mansfield, PA. Everett was loved and respected by many worldwide. One long time employee summed it up best. "Everett is like a toasted marshmallow, crusty on the outside and gooey on the inside". He was a much-loved manager. Everett enjoyed playing golf, weekends at the casino with his wife and friends, fishing, dancing, and working. Everett served 13 years in the Army National Guard, as a Captain.
Everett is survived by his wife Kay Keenum; his son and daughter in law, James Lee and Jana Keenum of Oklahoma City, OK ; his daughter Keri Lavelle of Camp Verde, AZ; 2 step-sons, Terry Byrd of Hinton, OK, Scott Heifer and Tammy of Anchorage, AK; his adopted daughter, Ann Grenier of Mansfield, PA; three grandchildren, EmiLee Knapp, Leryn Joy Lee, Michael Montgomery; adopted grandchildren, Alexis Hart and Alexander Tremblay; 1 great grandchild, Holly Hughes. He was predeceased by 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
Friends and family are invited to call on Saturday, August 12, 2017 from 4pm-7pm at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. A memorial service will follow at 7:00pm at the funeral chapel with Rob Richie and Barb Eikholt officiating.
