Obituary of Roberta Ruth Whitteker
Roberta "Bertie" Ruth Whitteker, age 66, of Mansfield, PA, died Thursday, July 10, 2014 at Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA. She was born July 28, 1947 in Greenburg, PA, a daughter of Russell and Dorothy (Gregg) Ralph. Bertie was the wife of Carson W. Whitteker who survives. She was a self-employed child care provider for over 30 years, and did cleaning for Guthrie Clinic in Mansfield, PA. Bertie was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Mansfield, a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, and a life member of the Mansfield Ambulance Assoc. She enjoyed quilting and camping.
Besides her husband, Bertie is survived by 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Kim and Red Andrus of Mansfield, PA; Karen Chrzan of Kutztown, PA; 4 grandchildren, Tyler Joseph Andrus, Derek Scott Andrus, Alison Lynae Chrzan, Matthew Carson Wheeler; 4 brothers and sisters-in-law, 'twin' Robert Ralph of Arkansas, Richard "Ricky" and Linda Ralph of Middlebury, PA, Randolph "Randy" and Violet Ralph of Mainesburg, PA, Rodney "Rocky" and Inga Ralph of Wellsboro, PA; 3 sisters and brothers-in-law, Rebecca "Becky" Walker of Arkansas, Rita and Stan Spencer of VA, Regina "Robin" and Gary Benjamin of VA. She was predeceased by her parents and a sister, Roxanne Ralph.
Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday, July 13, 2014 from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. Funeral services will follow at 6:00 P.M. at the funeral chapel with Rev. Jonathan West officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mansfield Ambulance Assoc., 381 S.
