I can never forget how helpful Bertie was to my son Enrico after my wife passed in 1978. She served as his caretaker for over 6 years both after school each day and during the summers while I worked. I can credit her for some of the strong character traits that he developed. I will always be grateful for her kindness and dedication to him during a very trying time for us. Please accept my sorrow in her passing.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Whitteker family. A kind and hard working woman has left us to be with the Lord. May Bertie and her family be forever blessed.
