Obituary of Leona Williams
Leona Williams, age 62, of Morris, PA, died Saturday, October 12, 2013 at the Williamsport Hosptial. Leona was born March 13, 1951 in Blossburg, PA, a daughter of Archie and Lillis (Stanton) Karns. She was the widow of Anthony Williams, Jr. who passed away December 24, 2009. Leona was Post Master at the Morris Post Office for 21 years. She was a member of the Morris United Methodist Church, enjoyed reading and her tv shows.
Leona is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Lori Spencer and boy friend, Richard Phillips, Julie and Jason Wenrich of Dover, DE; two sons, Adam Williams of Reynoldsburg, OH, Patrick Williams of Green River WY; 6 grandchildren, Katelynn Wenrich, Ryan Berry, Alexis Wenrich, Tyler McDowell, Ashlee Wenrich, Dakota Phillips; a sister, Patricia (Melvin) Hilfiger of Westfield, PA; 2 brothers-in-law, John Williams of Morris, PA, and Bernard (Marcy) Williams of Liberty, PA; a sister-in-law, Christine Karns of Knoxville, PA; several nieces and nephews. Leona was predeceased by her husband, her parents, and 2 brothers, Albert Karns and Archie Karns, Jr.
A memorial service will be held at the Morris United Methodist Church, Morris, PA on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at 5:00 P.M. with Pastor Sherri Butters officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Assoc., USA, National Headquarters, 3300 Sunrise Dr., Tucson, AZ 85718, or the American Cancer Society, 1948 E.
