Obituary of Robert E. Tillinghast
Robert E. Tillinghast, age 53, of Tioga, PA, died on Monday, September 30, 2013 in The Green Home, Wellsboro, PA. Robert as born on June 19, 1960, the son of Rexford and Iva (Tillinghast) Cummings.
Robert was employed as a baker with Dunkin Donuts in Horseheads, NY. He was an avid bingo player, an Eagles football fan and enjoyed watching NASCAR racing.
Robert is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Melvin and Heather Serine of Corning, NY; one grandaughter, Nichole Serine; five sisters and brothers-in-law, Donna and Howard Campbell of Wellsboro, PA, Diane and Robert Wandell of Mansfield, PA, Sandra and John Snell of Blandon, PA, Jeannie and Marlon Ortego of Jacksonville, FL, Robin Southard of Wellsboro, PA; three brothers and sisters-in-law,Rexford and Bonnie Cummings of Mansfield, PA, Thomas and Janet Cummings of Mansfield, PA, Larry and Sharon Cummings of Mansfield, PA; a special friend, caregiver and mother of his son, Sylvia Thompson of Tioga, PA; special friends, Ford L. Serine of Corning, NY, Brandy Star Thompson of Tioga, PA and a special niece, Mari Astin of Tioga, PA. Robert was predeceased by two sisters, Terry Gleason and Iris Tillinghast.
Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, October 3, 2013 from 6:00 to 7:00 PM at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, 637 S. Main Street, Mansfield, PA. A Memorial Service will be held immediately following calling hours at 7:00 PM at the funeral chapel with Pastor Carol Campbell officiating.
