Obituary of Donald E. Heck
Donald E. Heck, Sr., age 75, of Tioga, PA, died Thursday, September 19, 2013 at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro, PA. Donald was born May 26, 1938 in Tioga, a son of William and Verma (Rose) Heck. He was the husband of Norma J. (Lewis) Heck. Donald was a meter reader for Tioga Borough and had worked at Ingersoll Rand before his retirement. He was a Cub Scout and Boy Scout Master, Forest Fire Warden for 40 years, Assistant Fire Chief and honorary member of the Tioga Fire Department, enjoyed hunting and fishing. Donald was in the Army Reserve.
Donald is survived by his wife Norma; 4 sons and a daughter-in-law, Dan (Sherry Hurtado) Heck of Basin, WY, Dennis and Doug of Tioga, Darren and Stephanie Heck of Wellsboro; a daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Frank Musto of Lawrenceville; a sister-in-law, Joan Heck of Tioga; 7 grandchildren, Katie, Lindsay, Tessa and Caleb Heck, Samantha, Dereck and Cassie Taylor; one great granddaughter, Nevaeh Deats; step-grandchildren, Lela Estees, Crystal Fauver and Sandy Rissler of Worland, Wy, Tony Musto of Lindley, NY and Amanda Musto of Gettysburg, PA; 11 step-great grandchildren. Donald was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Sonny and Robert Heck; a sister, Gail Heck; and a son, Donald Heck, Jr. in 1987.
Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, September 23, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. A memorial service will follow at 8:00 P.M. at the funeral chapel with Rev. Harry Colegrove officiating.
