Obituary of Mary P. Saylor

Mary P. (Kiser) Saylor, age 71, of Wellsboro, PA, died Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro, PA. She was born June 25, 1942 in York, PA, a daughter of Clovis and Geneva (Ryer) Kiser. Mary graduated from York Catholic High School Class of 1960. She married John W. Saylor on May 13, 1961 and celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary this year. Mary and her husband owned and operated the Skyview Motel and Restaurant in Bremo Bluff, VA from 1980 to 1999. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Wellsboro and Morris 55 Plus Club. Mary is survived by her husband, John; a son and daughter-in-law, John W. Saylor III and Kimberly of Troy, VA; a daughter and son-in-law, Angela and William Vienot of Palmyra, VA; 3 grandchildren, Kiara Saylor, Scott Vienot and Johnny Batdorff; 2 brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul Franklin and Lori Kiser of Windsor, PA, Denny and Pam Kiser of Windsor, PA; a sister and brother-in-law, Alice and James LeMaster of Red Lion, PA; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and numerous friends. Mary was predeceased by a son, John W. Saylor, II; sisters, Orpha Delp and Vivian Warner, and a brother, Sonny Kiser. A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date.
