Obituary of Gregory Louis Seeley
Gregory Louis Seeley, age 52, of Elmira Heights, NY, died Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at his home. Gregory was born October 21, 1960 in Elmira, NY, a son of Louis F. and Elizabeth (Hoills) Seeley. He earned an Associate's Degree in Environmental Science and worked as a caregiver in various settings throughout the years. Greg had experienced an escalation of cancer that had weakened his body such that his spirit chose, with regrets, to be free again. He had no regrets however, for the joys he experienced throughout his life; joys that centered on his two beautiful daughters.
Gregory is survived by twin daughters, Hillary "Hilsie" and Rebekah "Rebo" Seeley of Elmira Heights, NY; loving mother of his twin daughters, Joanne Seeley of Elmira Heights, NY; stepdaughter, Tessa Banfield of West Elmira, NY; significant ex, Pamela Seeley of West Elmira, NY; sisters and brothers-in-law, Deborah and Clifford DuBord of Oswego, NY, Rebecca Seeley and Steve Beck of West Elmira, NY; a nephew and wife, Zachary and Shelbi DuBord; nephew, Matthew and wife, Bobbie Jo; great nephews, Kieran and Gabriel; great niece, Charlotte DuBord - all of Binghamton, NY; Louie "Lou Meister" and Olivia "Olie" Werninck of West Elmira, NY. Gregory was preceded in death by his father, Louis F. Seeley, his mother, Elizabeth Seeley Emanuel and step father, John Emanuel.
In keeping with Gregory's wishes, there will be no services. Donations can be made in memory of Gregory to Tanglewood Nature Center, 443 Coleman Ave., Elmira, NY 14903 and Elmira or Corning Carefirst, 11751 E. Corning Road, Corning, NY 14830.
