Obituary of James V. Austin
James ?Jim? V. Austin, age 50, of Mansfield, PA died Monday, May 13. 2013, at his home. Jim was born March 4, 1963 in Bath, NY, a son of Frank ?Sonny? and Betty J. (Bender) Austin. He was a professional truck driver 19 years for Griffith Oil. Jim enjoyed camping, working on vehicles, horseback riding, 4 wheeling, tinkering with things, motorcycles, and was a jack of all trades. He volunteered with the Addison Fire Department as an EMT.
Jim is survived by his children, Amanda Austin of Beaver Dams, NY, Brittany Austin of Addison, NY; his mother, Betty Austin of Elmira, NY; 2 grandchildren, Riley Brooks and Brooke Lynne Gulliver; a brother, John (Carla Preston) Austin of Addison, NY; 3 sisters, Tammy (Gary) Saunders of Haines City, FL, Beverly Austin of Elmira, NY, Betty Marie Austin of Elmira, NY; fiance?, Kimberly Pierce of Mansfield, PA; her children, Clayton (Shelley) Pierce of Lawrenceville, PA, Victoria Pierce of Mansfield, PA; her parents, Nick and Vickie Pomarico of Mansfield, PA; nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Frank, and grandmother, Dorothy Irene Fisk.
A graveside service will be held at Addison Rural Cemetery, Addison, NY on Friday, May 17, 2013 at 4:00 PM. Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA is assisting the family. www.buckheitfcandcrematory.com
