Obituary of Eleanor L. Zeigler
Eleanor L. Zeigler, age 82, of Troy, PA, died on April 8, 2013 in Bradford County Manor, Troy, PA. Born on June 30, 1930 in Coryland, PA, she was the daughter of Albert and Alice (Lewis) Roy.
Prior to her retirement, Eleanor drove a van for the Bradford County Housing Authority for more than 10 years and was a homemaker and farmer. She was a member of the Weslyan Church in Berrytown, PA. Eleanor enjoyed cooking, sewing, playing the piano and spending time with her family. She was a devoted mother and grandmother.
Eleanor is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Kathy Simcoe of Ulster, PA, Paul and Pamela Simcoe of Coudersport, PA; three daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and Les Isbell of Sinking Spring, PA, LuAnn Simcoe of Wysox, PA, Audrey and Randy Chapman of Gillett, PA; one brother and sister-in-law, Lyle and Cressie Roy of SC; a sister, Joyce Taylor of Roseville, PA; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Larry and Marlene Simcoe; two sisters-in-law, Velma Beach of Columbia Cross Roads, PA, Lucile Baxter; eleven grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Eleanor was predeceased by her two husbands, Charles Simcoe and Robert Zeigler; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Catherine Kittle, Barbara and Elmer Spotts; two brothers, Lewis and George Roy and a grandson, Jeremy Jon Isbell.
A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Eleanor?s name to the Alzheimers Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave., 7th Floor, New York, NY 10001.
