Obituary of William D. Ayers

William D. Ayers, age 68, of Millerton, PA, died on Thursday, March 28, 2013 in Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, NY. Born on February 4, 1945 in Mansfield, PA, he was the son of Roderick and Alberta (Potter) Ayers. William is survived by his wife, Beverly (Weible) Ayers. Prior to his retirement, William was employed as a welder, manufacturing fitness equipment, with TDS Foundry in Elmira, NY. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating and camping. In addition to his wife, Beverly, William is survived by three sons and a daughter-in-law, Timothy and Darlene Ayers of Troy, PA, James Ayers of Gillett, PA, Carl Ayers of Millerton, PA; a daughter, Kimberly Sampson of Mansfield, PA; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Roderick Ayers, Jr. of Millerton, PA, Thomas and Kathy Ayers of Red Lion, PA; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Geraldine and Fetton Cox of Abeline, TX, Elaine Taylor of Bath, NY, Linda and John Lowery of Canton, PA; a half-sister and brother-in-law, Isabelle and Charlie Finogle of Tioga, PA, and seven grandchildren. William was predeceased by three sisters, Alberta Greene, Cora Hornsby and Dora Bartholemew. In keeping with William's wishes, there will be no services.
