Obituary of Rosemarie N. Emily Cannata

Rosemarie N. Emily Cannata, age 82, of Covington, PA, died peacefully Monday, March 25, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Rosemarie was born March 9, 1931 in Newark, NJ, a daughter of Elmer and Savina (Moia) Nafey. She was the wife of James F. Cannata and celebrated 63 years of marriage on June 25th, 2012. Rosemarie was a retired switchboard operator for New Jersey Bell and Overlook Hospital in Summit, NJ. She also worked for Silver Burdett, a manufacturer of text books. Rosemarie enjoyed driving horses and mules, cats, and gardening. She loved her grandchildren very much, and her bright red cardinals. Rosemarie is survived by her husband, James; a son and daughter-in-law, James and Ann Cannata, Jr. of Bozeman, Montana; a daughter, Linda Cannata of Las Vegas, Nevada; 2 grandchildren, Emma (Chris) Kelner and Sam Cannata. In keeping with Rosemarie's wishes, services will be private. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society, 1948 E. Third St., Williamsport, PA 17701.
