Obituary of Charles Franklin Camp
Charles F. "Chuck" Camp, age 67, of Rt. 287, Tioga, PA passed away on March 24, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on Dec. 5, 1945 in Towanda, PA, a son of Frank and Della (May) Knapp-Camp. He married his Best Friend and the Love of his Life, Carol Ann Mosher, on Sept. 5, 1965. Mr. Camp was a molder for Kennedy Valve in Elmira, NY for 42 years, retiring in 2006. He was an avid outdoors man, he enjoyed the mountains, riding his trike, fishing, hunting, camping, working in his woodshop, walking, coaching baseball and his most treasured moments were spent camping at the lake with his devoted wife, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and close family and friends.
Mr. Camp is survived by his wife, Carol; son, Rodney Camp (June Bradshaw) of Addison, NY; four daughters, Karen Hackett of Nelson, PA, Tammy (Bill) Colegrove of Lawrenceville, PA, Sheila (Andy) Knight of Addison, NY, and Julie (Bill) Fye of Tioga, PA; Grandchildren, Brandon (Felisha) Hackett, Alexis Hackett, Sara and Brianna Knight, Jesse Colegrove, Michael and Danielle Fye; Great Grandchildren, Laila, Carter, Gaven Charles, Lainey, Alivia, Laiken, Shaelyn, Noah and Blake; Brothers, Ralph (Priscilla) Knapp, John Knapp, Frank "Jr." (Peeper) Camp, William (Kandy) Camp, Michael (J. Ann) Camp, Roger Mosher, Benjamin (Bonnie) Mosher Jr., Ron Mosher; Sisters Linda (Wesley)Leonard and Judy Mosher Smith; a very special nephew and niece, Richard "Dewey" and Lisa Wilkinson of Tioga, PA; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a son, Brian Lee Camp; his parents; father in-law, Benjamin Mosher, Sr.; sisters, Mary Knapp Wood, Ruth Knapp and Frankie Camp Perry; brothers, Robert Knapp and Alfred (Delores) Camp; brother-in-law, Nelson Edward Smith; and nieces, Linda Smith-Mahosky and Anita Camp.
Family and Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Saturday, April 6, 2013, at the Tabernacle Baptist Church, 9 Meadow Street, Tioga, PA; with a dinner following at the American Legion, Tioga, PA. Calling hours will be from 1:00-4:00 PM with the Memorial Service beginning at 4:00 PM. The family requests that any donations, in remembrance of Chuck, be donated to the Tabernacle Baptist Church Building Fund, American Cancer Society or American Rifle Association.
