Obituary of John W. Wells

John W. Wells, age 74, of Mansfield, PA, died on Sunday, January 13, 2013 in Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA. Born on September 18, 1938 in Mansfield, PA, he was the son of Ingute J. and Pearl (Hitchcock) Wells. John was married to Janice L. (Hughes) Wells. Prior to his retirement, John was self employed with Wells Auto Sales. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mansfield, the Loyal Order of the Moose in Canton, the Wheel Inn and a life member of the Mansfield Hose Company. John served in the National Guard. John is survived by his wife, Janice; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jonathon Scott String and Sharon Wells of Tioga, PA, Todd Leon and Melissa Wells of Dushore, PA; one daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl Ann and Joseph LeBlanc of Covington, PA; two grandchildren, Sean and his wife, Tara Wells and Kody Wells; two great grandchildren, Aubrey and Ashlyn Wells and a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, William and Betty Cuneo of Mansfield, PA. John was predeceased by a sister, Lenda Case. Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours for John on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 South Main Street, Mansfield, PA. A private graveside service will be held for the family at the Prospect Cemetery, North Main Street, Mansfield, PA.
