Obituary of Rita J. Gleason

Rita J. Gleason, age 78, of Troy, PA, died on Friday, January 11, 2013 in Troy Hospital, Troy, PA. Born on October 22, 1934 in Big Pond, PA, she was the daughter of Orlando and Hilda Emily (Spencer) Strobridge. Rita and her husband, Raymond W. Gleason, Jr., celebrated 61 years of marriage on October 27, 2012. Prior to her retirement, Rita was employed with Paper Magic as a machine operator. She was a member of the East Troy United Methodist Church where she taught the adult Sunday school class. Rita enjoyed reading and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Raymond, Rita is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Linda Gleason of Troy; one brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Jean Strobridge of Big Pond, PA; two sisters, Florence Hoose of Milan, PA, Flora Wheeler of Big Pond, PA; one sister-in-law, Ava Strobridge of FL; three grandchildren, Matthew Gleason, Michael (Liz) Gleason, Heather Gleason, and three great grandchildren, Zhawn, Angelina and Daniel. Rita was predeceased by two brothers, Bill and Harold Strobridge, and a sister and brother-in-law, Hilda and Willard Harkness. A private viewing and service will be held on Sunday at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main Street, Mansfield, PA with Rev. Chris Nauta officiating. Memorial contributions may be made in Ritas name to the East Troy United Methodist Church, 54 School House Drive, Troy, PA 16947.
