Obituary of Seany H. Starks
Seany H. Starks, age 90, of Covington, PA, died Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Barnes Kasson Hospital and Nursing Home, Susquehanna, PA. Seany was born September 15, 1922 in Duboistown, PA, a daughter of Purley and Mary Gertrude (Whipple) Hane. She was the wife of the late Arthur Starks for 60 years. Seany was a member of the Covington Church of Christ. She enjoyed quilting, gardening and crocheting.
Seany is survived by two sons, Arthur G. (Jackie) Starks, Jr. of New Milford, PA, James M. Starks of Mansfield, PA; daughters, Carolyn H. (K. Vincent) Swartz of Hughesville, PA, Bobbie (Roland) Ely of Wellsboro, PA, Jeanette Runyan (Richard Davis) of Covington, PA, Mary (Robert) Pritchett of Bath, PA, Deborah Ferraro of Dingmans Ferry, PA; 16 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; a sister, Mary Wenner of Alexandria, VA. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur in 2002, a daughter, Charlotte G. Starks, and a sister, Elinor Hane.
Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 from 1:30 P.M. to 2:30 P.M. at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. Funeral services will follow at the funeral chapel at 2:30 P.M. with Rev. Ronald Savits officiating. Burial will be in Tioga County Memorial Gardens, 61 Memorial Gardens Rd., Mansfield, PA.
