Obituary of Thomas F. Baker
Thomas F. Baker, age 92, of Mansfield, PA, died Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at Broad Acres Health and Rehabilitation Center, Wellsboro, PA. He was born November 24, 1920 in Holiday, PA, a son of Earl and Bessie (Baker) Baker. Thomas retired from Corning Glass as a machinist. He was a US Army veteran having served during WWII. Thomas enjoyed fishing, hunting, making bookcases and baking.
Thomas is survived by a son-in-law, Flynn Boyden, of Mansfield, PA; 3 grandchildren, Kim Ann (Fred) Bolt, Teresa Ann (Eric) Cowan, Thomas Dana (Liz) Tracy; 4 great grandchildren, Nicole Kay (Dan Wilson) Hemenway, Deven Thomas Tracy, Kaydance Marie Tracy, Richelle Keaton Cowan; a great great grandson, Lee Thomas Wilson to be born in May 2013; a brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Noreen Baker of Wellsboro, PA; 2 sisters and a brother-in-law, Beverly Schmidt of Florida; Peg and Bill Lotter of Tioga, PA. He was predeceased by his wife whom he was married to for 59 years, Mary E. (Whitehouse) Baker in 2005; a daughter, Patricia Boyden on May 12, 2011; an infant son in 1950; a brother, James Baker in 2003, a sister, Beatrice Fleitstra in 1995, and a brother, Junie Baker.
Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, December 21, 2012 from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral chapel with Pastor David Dressler officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Holiday, PA with Military Honors by the Tioga County Honor Guard Assoc. www.buckheitfcandcrematory.com
