Obituary of Beverly Jean Powers
Beverly Jean Powers, age 76, of Mansfield, PA, died Thursday, December 13, 2012 at The Gatehouse, Divine Providence Hospital, Williamsport, PA. Beverly was born September 21, 1936 in Blossburg, PA, a daughter of Milford and Alice (Ames) Frost. She was the wife of Joseph Powers. Beverly had been employed as a cashier for the former McCrorys in Mansfield and H & R Block. She was a member of New Covenant Church, Mansfield, PA, enjoyed sewing, cooking and spending time with her family.
Jean is survived by her husband, Joseph; 3 sons and a daughter-in-law, Alan Powers of Gaines, PA, Ronald and Denise Powers of Mansfield, PA, Patrick Powers of Mansfield, PA; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Misty and Corbett Quinn of NC, Cheri and Carl Butler of Wellsboro, PA; 8 grandchildren, David (Jessica), Lacy Jordon, Piper Jannel, Kirk, Teahl and Cameron; 4 great grandchildren, Lauryn, Julia, Braxton and Hope; 4 brothers, Robert Butch Frost, Gary Frost, Joe Ames, Milford Frost, Jr.; 4 sisters, Cathy Moyers, Shirley Robinson, Louise Griffith, Sandy Johnson. She was predeceased by a son, Leonard Powers in 1983, two granddaughters, Angela in 1980, and Amanda in 1988.
In keeping with Jeans wishes, there will be no services. Memorial contributions may be made in Jeans name to the New Covenant Academy, 310 Extension Street, Mansfield, PA 16933.
