Obituary of Stephen A. Trout
Stephen A. Steve Trout, age 74, of Mansfield, PA, went from his wifes loving arms to his Lord and Saviors open arms on Sunday, December 9, 2012 surrounded by his loving family in the Williamsport Regional Medical Center, Williamsport, PA. Born on February 25, 1938 in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of William and Catherine (Dowling) Trout. Steve is survived by his wife of 52 years, Barbara (Staufenberg) Trout.
Steve was a US Navy veteran serving in peacetime. Prior to his retirement, Steve was employed as a plumber in Philadelphia then after moving to Mansfield was a counselor in the diagnostic unit of North Penn Comprehensive Health Services. He attended the Bakerburg Community Church. Steve loved his family and lived his life to honor the Lord. He was an avid gardener and loved hunting. He enjoyed sports, especially his favorite teams, the Phillies and the Eagles. In addition to his wife, Barbara, Steve is survived by his children and their spouses, Deborah and Charles Murphy of Mansfield, PA, Dawn Trout of Mansfield, PA, Stephen and Susan Trout, Jr. of Philadelphia, PA, Suzanne and Frank Ameigh of Mansfield, PA and Rebekah and Dave Redell of Mansfield, PA; two brothers, Robert Trout of Philadelphia, PA, Bernard Trout of Maryland; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Mildred and Larry Fite of Philadelphia, Marge Macartney of Newport, PA, Ruth Blair of Newport, PA; 13 grandchildren, Ryan, Casey, Whitney, Jordyn, Matt, Zachery, Jesse, Danny, Alyssa, Madison, Mackenzie, Emerson, Lexi and 4 great grandchildren, Isabel, Ella, Jameson and Easton. Steve was predeceased by four brothers, William, James, Thomas and Frank Trout and three sisters, Helen, Catherine and Mary.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service for Steve on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 4:00 PM at the Bakerburg Church with Pastor Dave Dressler officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bakerburg Church, 197 Gray Valley Road, Mainesburg, PA 16932. A private burial will be held in the Oakwood Cemetery, Mansfield, PA.
