Obituary of Gerard E. Viehmeyer
Gerard E. Viehmeyer, age 65, of Wellsboro, PA, died on Thursday, November 29, 2012 in Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro, PA. Born on December 22, 1946 in Weehawken, NJ, he was the son of Henry and Lillian (Newman) Viehmeyer.
Prior to his retirement, Gerard was employed as an electrician with Formflex Mfg. He was a member of the Mennonite Bible Fellowship and the Nesmuk Rod and Gun Club. Gerard enjoyed painting, wood working, refinishing antiques, fishing, shooting and playing poker.
Gerard is survived by one son, Kyle Viehmeyer of Wellsboro, PA; three daughters, Laura Viehmeyer Reade of Sparta, NJ, Shannon M. Viehmeyer of Cliffside Park, NJ, Amanda Viehmeyer of Garfield, NJ; two brothers, William Viehmeyer of FL, Harry Viehmeyer of Canada; one sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Harry Feldman of Brick, NJ; five grandchildren, Matthew, Jeffrey, Kaila, Jordan, Jenna and dear friends, John Bianchi of Rochester, NY and Nelson Yoder of Morris, PA. Gerard was predeceased by a son, Gerard Benjamin Viehmeyer on Aug. 13, 2007 and a brother, Robert Viehmeyer.
