I have Fond memories of a small- framed, hard- working and humble man! Walter�s handicap from an accident never slowed him up from providing for and raising his family. Walter let �boys be boys� and chuckled when we did something stupid; but, he knew in time, we would learn from our mistakes. Last weekend I attended the Tioga County�s EngineShow/ Tractor Pull and was greeted by my old friend Berry with a smile and strong handshake. I then walked over and talked with Walter sitting in his electric chair watching the pulls. Walter looked old and tired but still had that smile as I remembered from many years past. For me, that day was meant to be and our conversation will be long remembered. Walter talked with much pride of his family and their loving care for him. I�m sure Walter is in Heaven sitting on his old Cockshutt Tractor with Gert at his side and a smile on his face. James Criss Lindley, NY October 19, 2012
