Obituary of Kevin R. Sherrell
Kevin R. Sherrell, age 54, of Millerton, PA, died on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 in Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro, PA. Born on July 17, 1958 in Dearborn, MI, he was the son of Estel and Evelyn (Corbin) Sherrell. Kevin is survived by his wife, Laurie (Vieregger) Sherrell.
Kevin was self employed as a craftsman. He was a member of the Victory Church. Kevin had a great love for the outdoors and Gods creation. Amongst his favorite hobbies were skiing, hunting, fishing, spending time on the farm, hiking and his family time.
In addition to his wife, Laurie, Kevin is also survived by his mother, Evelyn Sherrell of Taylor, MI; one daughter and son-in-law, Caitlin and C.J. Carl of Roseville, PA; one brother and sister-in-law, David and Dianna Sherrell of Taylor, MI; five sisters and brothers-in-law, Donna and Jim Barta of Hartsell, AL, Sandra and Ron Compau of Dubuque, IA; Kristi and Brian Kotrous of Meridianville, AL, Mary and Jeff Ferris of Jonestown, PA, Amy and Bob Massar of Annville, PA; his mother-in-law, Leslie (John) Thornton of Sevierville, TN; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Estel Sherrell, father-in-law, Ed Vieregger and a nephew, Chad Barta.
Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 from 10 AM to 11 AM at the Victory Church, 645 E. Main St., Troy, PA. A funeral service will be held immediately following calling hours at 11 AM at the church with Pastor Josh Payne officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family at 1574 Dunkleberger Road, Millerton, PA 16936 to assist with expenses. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.
