Obituary of Leslie Raymond Davies

Leslie Raymond Davies, Jr., age 85, of Knoxville, died on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 in Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro, PA. Born on May 25, 1927 in Corning, NY, he was the son of Leslie and Margaret (Newlands) Davies. Leslie was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy (Mascho) Davies. Prior to his retirement, Leslie was employed as a machine operator and later a supervisor with Ingersoll Rand. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, hunting and gardening. Leslie is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, George and Geraldine Davies of Knoxville, PA, Richard and Charlotte Davies of Knoxville, PA; one daughter, Elaine Rush of Rushville, NY; one sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis and Robert Perry of Penn Yan, NY; 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday, September 9, 2012 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Buckheit Funeral Chapel, 637 S. Main Street, Mansfield, PA. A memorial service will be held immediately following calling hours at 2:00 PM with Pastor Debbie Button officiating.
