I'm so very sorry to hear about the loss of my grade school friend "Tommy". We both went to Charleston Grade School; so we were friends a long time ago. I've often thought of my friend Tommy; his family moved when we were in 5th or 6th grade so I lost touch with him. Tommy and I always had a competion going, he was the fastest boy runner and I was the fastest girl runner, I think I did beat him once though! He had some long legs back then and could really run. When I read the annoucement in the paper and saw his picture it brought back a lot of memories of my friend Tommy and our grade school days. He still had the same sweet smile; he hadn't really changed from so many years ago. I'm happy to know that he had grandchildren that he liked to spend time with and enjoyed; I wouldn't have expected anything less from him. He was a good boy back in our grade school days together and sounds like he was a good man and had many people in his life that cared about him. Again please accept my condolences.
