Obituary of Janice Schultz

Janice Jan Schultz, age 69, of Tioga, PA, passed away at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital on August 29, 2012 after an extended illness. Born in Chicago, IL December 17, 1942 to the late John and Vivian Lind, she is a graduate of the University of Illinois. Jan worked for NBC News in Chicago for several years following graduation. She moved from Chicago to Connecticut with her then husband, Milton Martyny, and later to PA. Jan is survived by a daughter, Michelle Powers of California, and a granddaughter, Katie Powers. Also, two step-daughters, Sue Claussen, Lyn Delgesso, and her husband, Eugene C. Schultz. She was preceded in death by a son, Keith Martyny. Jan loved animals and for years fed stray cats. She also loved nature and watching wildlife from her home. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S.
