Obituary of Marjorie Felton
Marjorie S. Marge (Smith) Felton, age 85, of Wellsboro, PA, died on Friday, August 24, 2012 in Broad Acres Health and Rehabilitation Center, Wellsboro, PA. Born on January 22, 1927 in West Chester, PA, Marge was the daughter of Robert and Mary (Pierce) Smith. She is survived by her husband, Richard Dick L. Felton.
Prior to her retirement, Marge was employed as an elementary school teacher. She taught 3rd grade and was a reading specialist for the Lansdale Area School District. Marge was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Wellsboro, PA, the Library Board and the Friday Club. She enjoyed going to auctions, spending time in the church, concerts and animals.
In addition to her husband, Dick, she is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Marge Felton-Balliet, wife of Barry F. Balliet of New Jersey, Lynn Ann and Roger Martin of Palm, PA, and three grandsons: Christopher, Timothy and Gregory Lawler.
Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main Street, Mansfield, PA. A funeral service will be held immediately following calling hours at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral chapel with Rev. Keith Williamson officiating.
