Obituary of Norris F. Dexter

Norris F. Dexter, age 87, of Wellsboro, PA died Saturday, July 11, 2012 at Broad Acres Health and Rehabilitation Center, Wellsboro, PA. He was born July 30, 1925 in Blossburg, PA a son of Frederick and Mabel (Hart) Dexter. He was the husband of the late Sara L. Dexter. Norris worked as a tank operator for Corning Glass before his retirement. Norris is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Ronald N. and Deborah S. Dexter of Wellsboro, PA; 5 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 4 brothers and sisters-in-law, Allen (Lucy) Dexter of Pine City, NY, William (Jeannie Hager) Dexter of Lawrenceville, PA, Jimmy (Pat) Dexter of Cheektowaga, NY, Clifton Dexter of Knoxville, PA; 3 sisters, Linda Dexter of Lewistown, PA, Dorothy Bruce of Wellsboro, PA, and Marietta Coupe of Wellsboro, PA. He was predeceased by his wife, Sara in 2010; a son, Dennis Dexter; 3 sisters, Lola Shabloski, Evelyn Johnston and Ruth Schweigart. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Tioga County Memorial Gardens, Mansfield, PA.
