For many years, she and Art enjoyed gardening, traveling to visit family and her baking skills were enjoyed by those that surrounded her. She was a member of The Big Elm Fire Departments Womens Auxiliary, where for many years she assisted with benefit chicken barbeques and fundraising birthday calendars. As a young adult, she worked at the Remington Rand in Elmira, NY. She gave volunteer time in the local Board of Elections and later also enjoyed doing child care work for family and friends.
