Obituary of Mary Ellen Booker

Mary Ellen (Semiklose) Booker, age 53, of Wellsboro, PA, died on Thursday, June 21, 2012 at her home following an extended illness. Born on January 12, 1959 in Towanda, she was the daughter of John and Kathi (Morton) Semiklose of Mansfield, PA. Mary Ellen was a 1977 graduate of Hempfield High School in Greensburg, PA. In 1979 she enlisted in the US Army and became an MP. She attended Seton Hill College in Greensburg, PA, and later moved to Colorado where she met her husband, John Booker. She was formerly employed in the security department with KGB. Mary Ellen loved the outdoors, hiking and camping and enjoyed reading and learning new things. Animals were her passion, including her loving cat, Bixby. Mary Ellen is survived by her parents, John and Kathi Semiklose; her husband, John, of Colorado; one son, Alexander Booker of Leadville, CO; one daughter and son-in-law, Samantha and David Dalglish of Aurora, MO; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Joseph and Taren Semiklose of Effingham, SC, Thomas and Marie Semiklose of Hartsville, SC; one granddaughter, Morgan Dalglish of Aurora, MO; several nieces and nephews: Erica, Brendan, Chelsea, Thomas, Ann and Jamie; and a new close friend, Lila Weaver of Wellsboro. In keeping with Mary Ellen's wishes, there will be no services.
