Karen (Whittaker) Cooper, age 65, of Covington, PA, died Friday, December 29, 2006 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Charles Chuck Cooper for 47 years. Karen was born on January 28, 1941 in Blossburg, PA the daughter of Roy and Carolyn (Mahonske) Whittaker. Karen and her husband Chuck owned and operated Coopers Sporting Goods in Mansfield for many years. She was a volunteer for the Mansfield Free Public Library and Santas Gift Bag.
Karen is survived by her husband, Chuck; two sons and daughters-in-law, Steven and Patricia Cooper of Ontario, NY, Charles Mike Cooper and Catherine Cowley-Cooper of Webster, NY; two daughters and a son-in-law, Cheryl and Edward Sheffield of Millport, NY, Cynthia Cinny Cooper of Rochester, NY; three grandchildren; and a brother, C. Dale Whittaker of Phoenix, AZ.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Tuesday, January 2, 2007 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, PC, 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA A memorial service will immediately follow the visitation at 3:00 P.M. at the funeral home with the Rev. Edward Trask officiating. The family will provide the flowers. Memorial contributions may be made in Karens memory to the Mansfield Free Public Library, 71 N. Main St., Mansfield, PA 16933, or to the Mansfield Ambulance Assoc., 381 S.
